Anand is responsible for the activities at WAN-IFRA Research and Material Testing Centre, Chennai which offers newsprint and newsink testing, print quality evaluation, research and training on various newspaper production topics. In the last five years with WAN-IFRA, he has published several research reports on the topics of materials and colour reproduction. He was one of the members of the Jury that judged the general print quality of newspapers in INCQC 2010-12. He is also an adjunct faculty at the Department of Printing Technology, AnnaUniversity.

Previous work experience: The Hindu, a leading English daily in India – Engineer in the Graphics department and a member of the QC team, responsible for colour correction, colour management and conformance of all the printing centres of The Hindu to ISO 12647-3.
