Renate is Head of Business Development at A&N Mobile & TV, the mobile strategy and development unit for DMGT Group. DMGT is the owner of Metro, Daily Mail, FindaProperty.com, Motors.co.uk, Jobsite.co.uk and Teletext Holidays, uniquely reaching 60 million people each month.

In her current role, Renate manages mobile business development across the group including relationships with Apple, Google, Nokia, RIM and Microsoft. She has a key focus on building Metro Apps, the group's apps and games publishing division, curating great Smartphone content and supporting it with powerful print, TV, digital, mobile and social media marketing. Metro Apps partners with international Indie Developers, Publishers and Brands for strategic partnerships and publishing deals.

Renate previously ran global marketing for Poken in San Francisco. Prior to that she managed the European Leadership Programme across Europe, and advised a number of tech and media companies on strategic marketing and business development. She also co-founded Twestival (www.twestival.com), a global charity project run by volunteers through Twitter. Their landmark events in 2009 and 2010 simultaneously took place in 200+ cities and collectively raised over $1.4 million for charity.

Renate is of Dutch/Norwegian nationality and speaks fluent English, Dutch, and Norwegian. In addition to being a tech and media geek, Renate is a passionate music fan and will gladly chew your ear off about her favourite bands and DJs. She also loves skiing, running and connecting good people.
