Ricardo is an Economist and holds a postgraduate degree on Strategic Planning. He lectures Marketing and Stretegic Planning for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at The Marketing Institute (ISUM) and the  Universidad Central of Venezuela in Caracas. Also managed the National Association of Advertisers where he became the 1st VP in between  1993 and 1997. His fields of expertise are: Positioning, Strategic Planning and Global Marketing.  He has over 25 years experience in Marketing in prestigious national and international companies such as Rori International, Group FIAMMA (Benetton retailers for Venezuela) and Group Fiesta/Colombina. He worked at C. A. Editora El Nacional as Commercial and Sales Director overseeing the following areas: sales, marketing and distribution and shortly became Head of Bussiness Development. In 2001 he joined Cadena Capriles Leading Meadia Group in Venezuela where he is VP of the Business Area.
