Executive Director, Youth Engagement and News Literacy, WAN-IFRA

Based at the Paris headquarters of WAN-IFRA, the young readership development division strives to assure a literate, civic-minded next generation of readers while also helping newspaper executives learn how to effectively engage young people under age 25 on all platforms and via all departments. Until 2006, she also directed WAN-IFRA's work to help newspapers and newspaper associations in emerging democracies all over the world. She has been a reporter and editor at newspapers in the U.S. and France and a journalism educator and researcher in the U.S., France and Bulgaria. Her degrees are from SUNY Albany, Syracuse University and Indiana University and favorite job before all that was doing the lights and sound for the Exotic Kaena in Lake George, NY.
