Mykola Siruk has been the editor of the Foreign and Information Department of Den, a Ukrainian daily newspaper of the Ukrainian Press Group since April 2006.
In 1980, he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnical Institute to become an engineer. Mykola Siruk worked for almost 20 years at the state-owned factory, Arsenal in Kiev. In his free time, he learned English and started to translate articles from English to Russian and Ukrainian for various newspapers and magazines. From 1997 to 2001, Mr Siruk worked as a part-time journalist for the newspaper Den, and from 2001 to 2005, he was the news editor of the Ukrainian Defense Express News Agency. His interests include foreign policy issues, especially NATO, EU and USA policies, as well as the foreign relations of the Ukraine.
