Bill has spent over 20 years in the media industry, the past 15 in a series of leadership positions.  After a 10 year career in magazine publishing, followed by 5 years at a newspaper competitor, Bill McDonald joined Metro Canada in early 2006. Since then, the company has realized tremendous success in several areas, making it one of the largest and most successful free daily newspaper operations in the world.  Metro has enjoyed revenue growth of over 300%, expansion into 11 new cities, and the launch of digital platforms including apps for iPad, iPhone, Blackberry and Android.  Bill continues to be excited and energized about the opportunities that lie ahead for Metro.
